South County High School
South County is for Bay Lovers
by Marina Brito, Realtor®, Home by School Specialist
The South County Secondary School boundary is located on the southern part of Fairfax County, sharing its borders with Prince William County (on the other side of the Occoquan River), and with the State of Maryland (on the other side of the Occoquan Bay & the Potomac River).
The South County boundary is an ideal place to live for people who love bodies of water, especially bays and rivers. It covers a large, and mostly suburban area; and it ends in a peninsula, surrounded by Belmont Bay, Occoquan Bay, Pohick Bay, Gunston Cove; all of these part of the junction between the Occoquan and the Potomac rivers.

Finding a home by school can be a challenge
If you have tried to find a home by school before, you have probably found that it’s a challenge to cross-reference homes for sale on a typical home search website with their assigned school.
Simply finding homes “near” the school won’t do
The issue with typical home search websites is that they only display homes by city or zip code. Some of them display homes “near” the school. Well, that won’t do you any good since school boundaries span cities, zip codes, and just being “near” the school doesn’t mean that the home belongs to that boundary.
You want a home INSIDE the South County secondary school boundary. Not just “near” it…
