The West Potomac HS boundary is located on the Eastern part of Fairfax County, with much of its eastern border facing the Potomac River. Along the Potomac River, the lovely George Washington Memorial Parkway (GW Parkway) runs through the boundary; starting from McLean, Virginia, through Arlington, briefly through a corner of Washington, DC, then through the City of Alexandria and finally ending near Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens.
